On the morning of June 2, 2023, the inaugural meeting of the School of System Sciences of Beijing Jiaotong University was held in the Science Hall. Secretary of the Party Committee Wang Jiaqiong, President Yu Zujun, Vice-President Yan Xuedong, and Party Committee member and Organization Department Minister Zhao Lan attended the inaugural meeting. The meeting was presided over by Yan Xuedong.

Secretary Wang Jiaqiong congratulated the School of Systems Science on behalf of the school. He pointed out that the establishment of the School of System Sciences is not only an important initiative for the university to promote the new round of ‘double world-class project’ construction and strengthen the construction of community-level academic organizations, but also a key layout for the university to grasp the trend of upgrading and transforming the traditional advantageous disciplines and integrating and developing the emerging interdisciplinarity, and to give full play to the innovative leadership and support of the applied basic disciplines.

Wang Jiaqiong and Yu Zujun jointly unveiled the plaque for the School of Systems Science.

Yu Zujun presented a certificate of appointment to Prof. Ziyou Gao, Honorary Dean of the School of System Sciences.

Zhao Lan announced the appointment decision of the team members of the School of Systems Science.

Heads of relevant functional departments, main leaders in charge of School of Traffic and Transportation, National Key Laboratory, School of Mathematics and Statistics, all faculty members and student representatives of the School of System Sciences attended this meeting.
